Join the Botanical Garden staff for an evening to celebrate the unique pitcher plant. An oddity but possibility in North Carolina, these plants are something to be admired. You can do just that this Wednesday with pitchers of beer at dusk in the garden! Tasty brews and a tour of the whole Carnivorous Plant Collection in the garden courtyard. Conservation and horticulture staff will be on hand to answer questions on growing and researching these amazing plants. Carnivorous plants are those that lure in insects to serve as their food source. North Carolina is home to many species, some endangered, of these fascinating plants. Explore the legend and learn about the relationships with pollinators and other plants.
